In particular, we are interested in:- WASH POST WASH Improved wet conditioning Reduce time to style and / or increase length of time the style will hold Enhanced hair alignment Prevent / reduce bond breakage withinthe fibre caused by humidity Fast rinse / no rinse Prevent / reduce bond breakage between fibres due to agitation and humidity Improved anti-dandruff compositions Color boost technologies both permanent and wash-in / wash-out Low / no water cleansing Minimise color leaching or fading Prevent hair loss or boost hair growth PACKAGING OR DELIVERY SYSTEMS Novel packaging / dispensing / delivery mechanisms to improve product performance, allow new treatments or formulations to be used etc. Applicators which can dispense to specific areas on the hair whilst preventing ANY contact with the scalp Novel formats for both rinse-off and leave-on products such as transparent powders ENABLING SCIENCE Improved lubrication (both aqueous and non-aqueous environments) Anti-inflammatories, sebum modulators, anti-itch technologies. Prevent / repair damage caused by factors such as colourants, hair drying / styling appliances and environmental conditions (UV, pollution, etc) Sensory modifiers (visual or tactile) and sensory enhancers for both hair / scalp and product Diagnostics to evaluate hair / scalp condition. Optical enhancers for shine. Minimise malodours caused by hair treatment processes or environmental conditions. We are particularly interested in harnessing technologies from industry sectors which may not be currently directly connected to the hair care sector. Smart devices, appliances, applicators, triggering systems and packaging / delivery mechanisms are of potential interest for each category, as well as product ingredients / formulations.
